Empowered Ideas was honored to provide Conference Planning and Management services for the 2013 North Carolina Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (NCATOD): Best Practices in Opioid Treatment Conference.
Over 150 professionals attended this year's NCATOD Conference in High Point, NC. Empowered Ideas was brought aboard early in the planning stages of the conference, and assisted in all aspects of the conference throughout the process. The conference was a huge success, and we're looking forward to next year's conference!

Empowered Ideas Co-Founders, James Wong and Virginia Johnson, attend the #INBOUND13 Conference in Boston, MA — The World's Largest Inbound Marketing Conference!
For a second year in a row, Empowered Ideas Co-Founders, James Wong and Virginia Johnson, attended INBOUND -- the world's largest inbound marketing conference. While much of the information was quite familiar to the EI Team, we did gain some valuable insight into how some national level nonprofits were using inbound marketing to increase brand awareness and fundraising returns. We're looking forward to sharing these new insights with several of our nonprofit clients soon.

Empowered Ideas Co-Founder, Virginia Johnson, invited to speak on the Triangle Association of Black Journalists (TABJ) Media Access Panel at NCCU
Empowered Ideas Co-Founder, Virginia Johnson was invited to participate as an expert panelist for the "Maing News: Media Access Workshop for Nonprofits," hosted by the Triangle Association of Black Journalists (TABJ), an affiliate of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Audience members represented over a dozen Triangle area nonprofits, as the panel of experts (Print, Radio, TV and Digital Media) talked about the best practices required to getting the attention of the media.

This month's networking event was held at the Perimeter Studio & Conference Center in Morrisville, NC Over 150 professionals from all across the Triangle attended the event throughout the evening. Our spotlight charity of the evening was the Brain Injury Association of North Carolina (BIANC), and all donations at the door went directly to BIANC.
