Empowered Ideas Recognized by the North Carolina National GuardOn the 7th of June 2012, Empowered Ideas was one of several Triangle area organizations that we're recognized by the North Carolina National Guard for our efforts and contributions in assisting them plan, organize and execute their first ever Asian-American Diversity in Leadership and Inclusion event in Raleigh, NC. Since early April of this year, the Empowered Ideas team has contributed numerous hours and resources to ensuring the success of the Asian-American diversity event. Our passion for supporting diversity and leadership within the Triangle, fueled our desire to assist the National Guard in any way we could. Thursday, June 7th was a historic day for every Asian-American in North Carolina, as the North Carolina National Guard held a long overdue cultural diversity event in honor of all Asian-Americans in the Triangle. The event was held at the new multi-million dollar Joint Forces Headquarters (JFHQ) in Raleigh, NC and was supported by the NC State Highway Patrol, NC Emergency Management, Empowered Ideas, The Chefs Academy, Bane Ice Designs, Hands On Health Massage Therapy & Wellness, the Triangle Area Chinese American Society (TACAS), the RTP Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) and the Triangle Association of Black Journalists (TABJ). It was truly a pleasure working alongside the men and women of the Army National Guard, including members from the various supporting organizations, and we're deeply honored by this recognition.
