On Tuesday, August 12th, Empowered Ideas hosted a LinkedIn Live Raleigh Business Networking Social at the Triangle Rock Club (North Raleigh) — over 150 Triangle area business professionals attended the event to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. We fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
They are a nonprofit donor-supported organization whose mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, proving individualized treatment, and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
The Foundation’s drug development success has been recognized by Harvard Business School and by publications such as Forbes, Discover magazine, and The Wall Street Journal.
Based in Bethesda, MD., the Foundation funds and accredits a national care center network that has been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind and is an accredited charity of the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance.
Special thanks to the Triangle Rock Club (TRC) for hosting our event. TRC is home to North Carolina’s premiere indoor climbing and fitness centers, with locations in Morrisville and North Raleigh. Our two, state-of-the-art facilities offer both lead and top rope climbing, expansive bouldering terrain, and a comprehensive fitness area.
