Our HBE program is HUD-certified. Class attendees may be eligible to apply for local Downpayment Assistance programs after completing this 8-hour virtual class and receive a program completion certificate valid for one year for participating in down payment assistance programs nationally.<\/p>\n<p>Classes are offered two Saturdays each month on a virtual platform. Each class lasts 8 hours. Registration is required. Additionally, class attendance is required for the complete 8 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Homebuyer Education Program is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideally Suited for those Prequalified by a Lender to Buy a Home within 6 to 12 Months including those Under Contract to Purchase a Home in Greensboro or High Point<\/li>\n<li>Mandatory to Apply for Local Downpayment Assistance Programs After Completing the HBE program.<\/li>\n<li>Requires a Minimum FICO Credit Score of 600 to Register.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attendees will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Better understand overall the homebuying process, basic mortgage loan approval requirements, and supportive resources available, including local Homebuyer downpayment assistance programs.<\/li>\n<li>Become familiar with the benefit of services offered by local real estate-related professionals.<\/li>\n<li>Receive a \u201cCertificate of Completion\u201d valid for one year for any downpayment assistance program available nationally, requiring HUD-certified Homebuyer education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Costs:<\/strong> This class is available at no charge for homebuyers under contract to purchase a home in Greensboro and High Point and for current Greensboro and High Point residents. There is a $100 fee due at registration for attendees purchasing a home outside of Greensboro and High Point or who currently reside in other areas\/counties.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Length of Course:<\/strong> 8-Hour live virtual sessions offered 2 Saturdays a month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Register: <\/strong>Complete the survey form below to confirm your eligibility.<\/p>\n<p><em>For a successful Homebuyer Education program experience while using the virtual platform, it is highly recommended participants have access to a personal laptop or desk top computer with a quality, reliable internet connection.
