Individual Development Account (IDA) Program<\/h2>\n

Classes are taught by professionals in the Real Estate, Lending, and Banking professions, to help participants become well-informed, educated consumers. Participation requirements include attending<\/span> monthly group education sessions, one-on-one Success Coaching\/Counseling, and committing to monthly savings and budgeting.<\/span><\/p>\n

The IDA Program is a comprehensive 6\u201312-month financial education series which meets monthly on a virtual platform. The program is designed for potential home buyers that are within 1 year of being mortgage read<\/strong>y.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

  • Classes Taught by Licensed and Trusted Real Estate, Lending, and Banking Professionals<\/li>\n
  • Monthly Group Education Sessions Are Required<\/li>\n
  • 1-on-1 Success Coaching and Counseling Also Required<\/li>\n
  • Participants Must Commit to a Monthly Savings and Budgeting Plan<\/li>\n
  • Analysis of Individual\/Household Budgeting Plan and How to Manage Monthly Financials<\/li>\n
  • Minimum Credit Score Required 580-600+<\/li>\n
  • Course Registration is Required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    After successful program completion, participants may be eligible to receive matching dollars to personal savings, which can be applied to the purchase of their first home.<\/span> The matching dollars are up to $2,000 in High Point only. Other areas in Guilford County are eligible for Downpayment Assistance. Matching dollars are subject to program availability in participating municipalities.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

    Costs:<\/strong> This class is available at no charge for homebuyers purchasing in Greensboro and High Point. There is a $100 fee<\/strong> for attendees purchasing a home outside of Greensboro and High Point.<\/p>\n
